This website has been created to let you know about Best Value and Community Planning in Scottish Borders Council - how we are going to deliver better services, and what we are doing as a Council to identify and action areas for continuous improvement. Community Planning brings together public sector agencies, as well as the private, voluntary and community sectors in order that services, where possible, are integrated and joint initiatives are undertaken which benefit communities. In the Borders we call it New Ways.
What does this mean for me ?
In March 2006, Audit Scotland will come to the Council to measure how we are performing and how we are going to deliver better Council services for the Scottish Borders. The Council has a commitment to provide value for money and continually improve in everything we do while meeting customer needs and driving efficiencies. Best Value is simply about doing things better - you might think this doesn’t apply to you, but it’s something every employee whether based in an office, on the roads, in a day centre, or in a school, can contribute to.Continue reading »
